new georges + the sol project = alligator!

solp

New Georges is thrilled beyond thrilled to be the first partner company of The Sol Project, a national initiative to bring Latina/o playwrights and their plays to the fore of the American theater.

Our partnership will bring Hilary Bettis‘ ALLIGATOR, directed by Elena Araoz, to the brand-spanking-new ART/New York Theatres in November and December, to coincide with the national convening of the Latina/o Theater Commons at The Public Theater. Hilary and Elena are such valued members of our affiliated artist community, we’ve had a heckuva time getting to know Sol Project Artistic Director Jacob Padrón over the past year, and we can’t wait to get to work!  Stay tuned for much more.
